Thanks sincerely Marcus. This is a great start. I have Microsoft Video Maker, and installed Microsoft video encoder software. Browsed afterdawn. Went to uTube and watched some tutorials. I understand the video edit software needs to have sound stripped from the video. That's why I'm wondering which movie format is compatible for import. I don't have firewire installed. I'm getting itchy to buy a vid cam or web cam, but with so many choices... went to 3COM last night and they have entire isles of choices for web cams, and the first floor dedicated to digital cameras!

I have to say it - It's amazing how many doors this Robonova humanoid has opened - mechanics, programming, choreography, dance, sensor technology, gyros, wireless, bluetooth, imaging, sonar, movies, editing, AI, electronic speech, audio, electronics, motion control, servo technology, wiring, power management, vision, and the list goes on...

Humanoido
Statistics: Posted by Humanoido — Sun Feb 04, 2007 6:21 am

You will need an input device, Video camera or Webcam should do.
With video cameras, you will need a way of getting it from the camera onto the computer. I use a DVcam and a Firewire connection.
You could use a webcam as the capture device, if you do then you should have software with it.

You will need some editing software. I just use Windows Movie Maker ("C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe"), as it is fast and simple to use. But there are lots of video editing packages around. www.afterdawn.com is a top resource for video and audio software and information. Check out the forum for some really good guides.

After you have edited your clip then save it as your required format and get ready to upload it.

Give me a shout if you need some help. np!

Marcus.
Statistics: Posted by DirtyRoboto — Sat Feb 03, 2007 6:17 pm

Now that I have several Robonova motion routines, it's time to show them off. How do I make movies? Does anyone have a "how to" for beginners? humanoido
Statistics: Posted by Humanoido — Thu Feb 01, 2007 6:18 am
