So you are saying the servo wire cables are being cut by the metal frames? I think most RN owners have put on wire protectors of some kind, myself included. There's a spiral wrap that works quite nice, and weave, available at most electronics parts stores.

I'm not sure what you are saying about the servo itself and bending. Can you give more detail?

Repair depends on the detail of the wire cable injury. Make sure no wires are exposed. Make sure the wires in the cable do not short out. There are three main lines - ground, power, and signal. It's possible a cut into the cable will short these. If that happens, wire cable repair is possible. It's possible to cut out a very short piece of the bad section, then put it back together with pieces of heat shrink tubing and solder.

humanoido
Statistics: Posted by Humanoido — Sun Jun 03, 2007 4:19 am

Almost every servo is being bent or cut by the metal frames.
only one servo started smoking.
I noticed more than one wire being split.
Is it possible to save these servos by putting tape or something else were it was split, or am I doomed to buy 500 dollars worth of servos?
When I wired Robonova, none of the wires were being infected.
One foot wire was being split, when the other wasn't and I know why.
and I was just about to program it.
Statistics: Posted by kevdemed — Sat Jun 02, 2007 7:25 am
