Sorry to hijack this topic (especially as a newbie ) but i have a question (potentially a stupid one) about gyro's too. i am hoping to buy a robonova as soon as i sell one of my helicopters. i have been reading about gyros and coming into this from helicopters i have a question about the positioning of gyros on robonova. most helicopter gyros are designed to be mounted flat (like i have seen in robots -ie robonovas shoulders) however in this orientation surely they are working the same way as a heli gyro and sensing rotation of the robot about its vertical centreline. i would have thought that to sense the robot falling forward or backwards the gyro would need to turned onto it's side to sense rotation in the correct plane. or have i understood this wrongly - highly likely
Statistics: Posted by nudge — Sun Jul 15, 2007 5:01 pm

Ive seen many gyro's on the robonova mostly used for balance.
How do you install, program and use?
What other things can you do with them?
Statistics: Posted by kevdemed — Fri Jul 13, 2007 9:35 am
