You nailed it - it is a question of having all the information together in one post. I am having trouble following multiple threads and posts about the topic.

My priorities are the same as yours as far as what I want to accomplish with the Robonova-1 hacks.

The manual really has to many mistakes, I was looking at the pin-outs on the 3024 and in the pdf from Hitec's website the right side is actually mislabeld.

So I'm going to redraw the diagram in Viso, and post, as a templete for those that do offer up the to help us newbies. Good documentation for these experiements/hacks goes a long way, into making this hobby successfull for all..

Hacks/experiment diagrams.. I'm currently looking for.. They've all been discuss and shown working here, but trying to follow the threads to figure out how to complete as a newbie is challenging.

This is a request to those of you who play with additional sensors and AI props for your Robonova-1.

If you can document the installation and implementation phases it will be very useful for the less experienced roboteers like me.

I know what a gyro is - but how does it work in this case? Is there something in the controller that reads the gyro output and commands a bunch of servos to behave a certain way (to stop a fall for example) ? Is it really that simple - plug and play with a few basic commands?

Do you need 1 gyro for left-right and another for back-front ?

Please enlighten me!!

Also - which gyro did you order? What mods did you have to do to install it?

Stuff like this...if you can document in the future = FANTASTIC!!
