Anybody checked the Custobots ones? They say it's also for other robots and I assume servos. Looks like the cable ties go in the servos.

It is quite glamorous to see those new knees so I don't doubt Chocobots rush to get hands on a set. It may be prudent to check out your RN for a while and run it through all the paces, just to know that everything is working good, and get some good solid understanding of handling the motions, either with programming and/or the capture features.

I still have my stock RN and plan to do as much as possible in stock mode so to speak... then go with grippers, knees, arm add ons, a rotational head, torso add on, sonar, gyros, accelerometer, RC, camera, bluetooth, speech, LCD, CAM, sound recognition, infrared, tactile sensors, more LEDs, heat sinks, several LIPOs, pack add-on, shoes, hat, and pants, and electrodynamic-hyperconceptual-quantum-spacetime- phased-floctobomometer.

If you're asking me then I'd say yes, you should order them

All joking aside, nobody needs to modify their Robonova. They work pretty well on their own. However, whether or not you feel your robot would be better off with add-on kits/mods depends on what you expect to get out of it. Out of the box, the RN-1 can't communicate w/ a cell phone, know how far he is from a wall, grab stuff, jump, side-step in arcs, pan his head, etc. There are several different types of mods you can add... the grip and knee kits are just a couple of the structural ones. Some people find making their own mods from scratch is just as easy as buying a set. For others there simply isn't enough time in the day, or they may not have the resources for undertaking a project like that. Either way, buying or fabricating your own - enhancing your RN-1’s abilities can be quite a good learning experience... as well as being fun.

Okay, all has been corrected - our store should operate correctly from here on out.

We only have three Dual-Knee Joint kits left that are hard-coat anodized black. The remaining will all brushed aluminum - until we get another shipment off to the anodization plant that is.
