I had problems with this to, even after trying the script in the vista thread. I think it must have been the USB/Serial driver as when I installed one from another device I managed to get it to work.

Also you have to run it under admin.
Statistics: Posted by DirtyRoboto — Tue Jan 15, 2008 11:41 pm

For anybody interested, I have tried everything I could to get Robobasic and Roboscript to both work in Vista. I couldnt get it to work completely. So I decided to try "Virtual PC 2007" It works perfect! I tried to dual boot with Vista and XP but ran into too many issues (I ran out of patients trying to get it installed right) So I thought I would try Virtual PC . I didnt have much faith in something like it to work smoothly . I was wrong, it is actually quite neat and smooth running. I am still amazed how they "link "these two Operating systems together and get all the hardware to work. I run XP in a Vista environment. I can work in either environment at the same time. Much better than trying to restart the pc and reboot to get back and forth in Vista and XP. I think I may know why it is working so well.........It wasnt created by Microsoft! They just bought it from somebody else. So if any of you are having issues with Vista, give it a try. I really like Vista so I wasnt willing to go back to XP. Dont get me wrong, I had Vista almost from its release and it has been a love-hate experience. Many issues. Most have been worked out or are gradually getting better. At this point I have only Robobasic that wont run right in Vista but If I come across another program that doesnt run ,I have Virtual XP. I cant say how Vista would run in an XP environment. I dont think it would be as good but I could be wrong.
Statistics: Posted by NVR2FST — Tue Jan 15, 2008 8:20 am
