Thanks for reply,
Yes it is weird they have not corrected the manual. Well, it gave me a crash course in debugging my new hardware:) And luckily nothing was damaged.
And great wiki, very useful, I did not know it existed.
Statistics: Posted by lezed — Tue Jul 22, 2008 10:00 pm

strange that Hitec/Multiplex have not yet updated the paper manual. This issue has been known for quite some time. I've added this thread to the Robonova Wiki "errors in manual" paragraph.
Statistics: Posted by limor — Mon Jul 21, 2008 9:51 pm

Hi,
I bought a RN-1 this week and found that, when assembled according to the manual found in the box, the left side of the robot was not responding as it should, and the position far from the zero position described. I checked the position of all servo horns and connection to the controller, and found no anomaly. Playing around with the connections I gradually realised that the ports described in the manual did not match those on my controller, and managed to correct the fault.

In case this happens to you, here is the two diagrams for connecting the servos on the controller:
As printed in my manual, not suitable for my robot:

As found on hitec website in the latest version of the manual, suitable for my robot:

I hope this might help out someone.
[/img]
Statistics: Posted by lezed — Sat Jul 19, 2008 4:51 pm
