thanks chaps . holding it to one side gives a temp fix.I will unsolder the socket and buy a new one .Very Frustrating but not serious .

I have also had my MR C-3024 port fail (twice now) and it is a major pain in the... Robot. To say the least, the two times I have replaced it I have noticed a big difference, mainly that it has a much tighter fit, and when it seems to wear out it is loose (comparing anyway). So i definitely suggest wiggling it, sometimes pushing it in the right direction fixes the problem when you need to download stuff... but it will get to the point where (if it doesnt already) just simply will not work.

ARGH! another thing I dislike about Hitec stuff now... I was hoping this wasnt going to be much of an issue..

Wiggle your plug into the mr-c3024. I've had a connector on the mr-c3024 fail. Also try a pencil eraser to clean the cable end that goes into the mr-c3024. The mouser.com part number for the connector is 161-2508-ex

Guys
I tried to load in some code last night to show the guys at work today but i have no comms between pc and 3024 anymore.I have checked the jask socket and taken the lead apart and all seems fine.Any ideas .has anyone experienced this.Maybe i am best to send the board back to Hitec and grab a new one in the mean time??

Any thoughts please.....
