I use two 1800mha Lipo cells in the feet with a 7.5 amps regulator on my 22 dof KHR-1 and a low volt led warning system.
No problems.
Statistics: Posted by Meltdown — Fri Oct 27, 2006 7:14 am

You should be fine with a 18A regulator I use a 5A reg on my KHR-2 and it dosn't even get very hot. It would have to be a special route that has all 18 servos on max current.

bren
Statistics: Posted by Robo1 — Tue Oct 24, 2006 10:26 am

Hi
I am using a Duralite regulator which is only good for 18amps so i keep a close eye on things in certain routines. It has a built in low voltage cut off but i also am using a lipo saver board which has an led on it that lights when voltage is close to minimum.
I can find out the p.no's if you wish but i have thrown the headers away and removed the labelled heatshrink... Doh !!
hope it helps.
Statistics: Posted by rep001 — Tue Oct 24, 2006 9:58 am

Cool, do the standard motion/movements still work like walking or have you redesigned/programmed them?

Looking way cool and I also think that head is the best one I've seen on a RN1

Pev
Statistics: Posted by Pev — Mon Oct 16, 2006 11:19 am

Just finished some mods to my RN,inspired totally by Matts R.P .The design of the feet is slightly different.I needed more battery power as the hitec 1000mah was getting a good beating on/off charge many times in an evening. First thing that pleased me was the extra stablility due to a much lower c.g. I have put the regulator in place of the old bat position, but have yet to hide the isolation on/off switch.Still lots to do but for the time being enjoy the pics.thanks !

[/img]
Statistics: Posted by rep001 — Sun Oct 15, 2006 12:12 am
