OK, finally managed to get this to work with an Arduino. The device setting has to be set on mode 3 apparently.
Statistics: Posted by ozfiddler — Thu May 12, 2011 12:12 am

OK... I'm the first to admit that I know nothing about Bluetooth. In fact, for many years I thought it was some sort of dental condition.

I'm trying to follow the instructions supplied with the Multiplex which I must say are somewhat spartan. I've plugged it in to my computer and run the Promi-ESD program. And I've got a laptop with a Bluetooth dongle and Bluesoleil. So far I've managed to establish some sort of a connection OUT and a connection IN. The Bluesoleil program tells me this with a very nice moving dot between a planet and a satellite. All very reassuring. Also the red LED comes on at the module to show me that it is happy. (I eventually discovered the passkey was 1234... would be nice to have been told this.)

So, now unplug everything and plug the unit into my Robonova (yellow = ERX, blue = ETX, red 5v, black ground) and turn on Robo and........

Yes, that's my question. And what's next? Nothing happens. Can't get a connection on the laptop. No red led. Nothing.

Can someone tell me what is supposed to happen? What I need to do to make this unknown thing happen? Any help or advice for this dummy would be greatly appreciated.
Statistics: Posted by ozfiddler — Wed May 11, 2011 12:49 pm
