Yes, all four boards are address 0 which is loaded in preference to the program on the main board. (I have left the address pins unconnected because they are pulled low internally)
I only use 2 currently. (no.1 and 4.)
I made one for each Robot games event that we might hold in the UK

1.Robo-One battle (blue tooth control)
2.Acrobatics/Dance
3.Stair climbing and descending.
4.Straight line walking, (running I wish!)

They are copper clad board, with the tracks milled/engraved out, using "PCB design and make" software with a Modela MDX-20 3D Plotter.

Chris
Statistics: Posted by NovaOne — Wed Aug 01, 2007 6:46 pm

Wow that's neat.

They make mine look very amateurish.

The diodes and resistors were only to provide some protection. I didn't fit them either.
Statistics: Posted by i-Bot — Thu Jul 26, 2007 10:27 am

Just an idea for a hardware hack for RN which I do not have time to fully investigate and exploit.

The EEPROM on the C3024 is conencted to the SCL, SDA lines. When the RN starts up it searches the addresses 0 thru 3 for an EEPROM. The on board 24C512 is at address 3 I think.

A 6 pin connector could pick up the SDA, SCL and power from the C3024, and if set to adddress 0 would override the on board EEPROM.

Thus you might have plug in code, for those quick changes without a PC.

Just a thought !

BTW you may need to add diode to the 5V supply, and a couple of resistors in series with the SDA and SCL for idiots like me who cannot see properly to plug things in !
Statistics: Posted by i-Bot — Wed Dec 20, 2006 10:56 pm
