Don't stop at two. Manufactures can offer multiple servo units. In my homebuilt humanoid, servos in groups of four were connected together without any brackets. A one unit multiple servo device would save time, money, serve multiple functions, and detail less flexure. Hitec, Futaba, are you listening?

Humanoido
Statistics: Posted by Humanoido — Tue Jan 23, 2007 5:01 am

On modding 2 x HSR8498HB into a new shell containing the two assemblies. i.e a dual servo head to toe, in one case?

Using this method the DOF rotational problems should be minimised. So adding a lateral DOF (or in-line DOF) could be reduced in space by combininng 2 servos into a single package thus freeing up the space for rotational DOF's

Marcus.

PS. If HITECH ever make a dual servo then plz, plz, plz, let me be the first to try it.
Statistics: Posted by DirtyRoboto — Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:15 pm
