Yes that’s right only one dynamixel was connected, I have also run the CID 16 and Ping, Search…. etc.. looks like there is not electronics problem may be the motor I think… anyway Thanks for your advice. Now I have used one of the motor from the Arm and set the address as 16 so I can get it work on 2 legs for the time being.

Mic.
Statistics: Posted by mic — Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:40 am

If that is the only dynamixel on the bus then everything looks OK to me. Type:

cid 16
ping

and you should get a load of text with numbers back. If so I would say the electronics in the Dynamixel are OK.

If it is the only dynamixel then it has an ID id 16 and it is responding.

My dynamixel was a special one with an ID of 69. Mind you I am not sure what the last line is saying.

Mark
Statistics: Posted by pepperm — Sat Feb 03, 2007 6:56 pm

Yes, this is what I get when I start up the Robot Terminal, any thing wrong there? Seems the CID is difference from you compare to my ID:016 should be something like … [CID:016 (something)]? Is that right?

[CM-5 Version 1.14]
<->PC:57142 BPS, <->Dynamixel:1000000 BPS
ID:016
001(0X01) Dynamixels Found.
[CID:001 (0X01)]
Statistics: Posted by mic — Sat Feb 03, 2007 5:37 pm

Yes, when you start up the Robot Terminal, does the CM-5 report anything. Perhaps you could post a screen capture. When I start up my Robot Terminal connected to my CM-5 and the latest Bioloid I/O board, then press Return on the PC I get the following:

[CM-5 Version 1.14]
<->PC:57142 BPS, <->Dynamixel:1000000 BPS
ID:069
001(0X01) Dynamixels Found.
[CID:069 (0X45)]

Do you get something similar?

Mark
Statistics: Posted by pepperm — Sat Feb 03, 2007 12:56 pm
