I agree - a non-visual programming environment is a priority. The Robotis kit is great, powerful servos, flexibility etc. One thing that lets it down is the programming environment.

Would also be nice if the programming environment and the motion editor were merged into the same application. Then hopefully a single file can contain both the BCP program and the motions.

Yep please please please give us a non-visual programming environment - I know inaki was working on one but Robotis should really do one as a matter of urgency

Yep the 'visual' programming is tedious. No doubt OK if you have little programming experience but it looks like spaghetti as the program grows in size! It should be trivial for Robotis to release a free format screen based editor/compiler the parsing remains the same.

Am I missing something or is there no way of printing/listing a program (without using PrintScreen screen full at a time)?

I'll add one.

A low level spec (byte codes or whatever) so that someone can write a text version. Programming visually like that is just insane.

I am going to start this thread so we can supply some feedback to Robotis. I believe RoboJuly is from Robotis...

- Color and font control for the comment and label boxes so It will be easier to locate procedures start and finish places
- tabbing. again for easy code reading. BCP programs when finished becomes spagetti codes
