Serial Bluetooth Adapters?

The purpose of that post was to show a list of some DB9 serial to bluetooth adapters that we've found. The adapters are meant for all the non-humanoid specific IO boards out there that our customers deal with that use DB9 serial connections.

For something like the CM5 and most other humanoid controller boards, obviously there are much better solutions out there, as Limor and Pev have mentioned

Nifiga I do not understand what you wrote it but if you want Bluetooth why not ready to commit and vpayat ...? For example Parani ESD 200? He even less Zigby a valid point rations P.S Teach Russian language.

Я нифига не понимаю что вы там пишете но если вам нужен Bluetooth
то почему не взять готовый и впаять...?
Например Parani ESD 200 ?
Он даже меньше Зигби а точки пайки те-же

I know exactly what you mean. I rarely remove the CM5 from the bot so once I had mine in place I was relatively happy, but it is a pretty tight squeeze

Indeed thats where we got the ideas from.
However, trying out a few configurations, we realized that making the wires look pretty yet not easily prone to damage was not so easy.

that blog is confusing.
it talks about the PC side of the equation but on the robot side you need the one and only BlueSmirf (or some other embedded bluetooth). On the PC side it is enough to buy a cheap USB bluetooth stick.

So Pev's hack is the way to go.

I read this "Serial Bluetooth Adapters - Wireless PC Based Robotics!" in Trossen website.

Just wondering what different usage between this Serial Bluetooth Adapters and Pev's Bluetooth hack module?
Can this Serial Bluetooth Adapters just plug in and play to avoid any DIY or possible damage CM5 ?
