Hi<br /><br />You can gain a lot of insight into the AX12 by downloading the manual.<br /><br />To go someway to answering your questions:<br /><br />a. There is very little mechanical backlash on the A12 when new. Mine are not very old and still perform like new.<br /><br />b. Yes you can control the Torque/compliance.<br /><br />c. The performance of the servo holds up well under load in the sense I suspect you mean. i.e. it acts like a good closed loop system. That said depending on how you have set it up it may appear change a lot. For example if you set it for low maximum torque it may not even move under load no matter what speed or position you demand.<br /><br />d. Its position is 1 part in 1023 of the available 300 degree movement. The absolute accuracy of this is as good as the linearity of the positional potentiometer inside it. Its repeatablility however is excellent.<br /><br />The AX12 is much more than a traditional RC servo.
