If you are having problems with the installation of a serial Zigbee on PC using Robotis ZigBee serial interface you will eventually find out that the whole thing won't power up.

The ZigBee serial interface requires +5V to be on pin 9 of your computers serial port. This might not be the case, when using a newer computer since this is considered obselete and is therefore no longer provided by computer manufacturers.

Make sure your PC meets this requirement and everything will be A-OK!

if not, try using a third party serial extension board or try applying the required voltage externally or use another computer.

This information was extracted from Dewey's post:
http://robosavvy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1395

THX for that
I was already affraid that fried the board while soldering.
Statistics: Posted by weedbeat — Thu Nov 01, 2007 1:57 am
