Hey.

I have some question about Loading the batteries of a CM-5.
I delete the normal firmware and wrote my own CM-5 programm.
Because of that the normal way of loading the batteries (push "U" and watch the LED) isn´t possible. How i can programm the CM-5 that he use my own software and is possible to load the batteries, too? Or have somebody a peace of code that i can integrate in my software.

Plz Help!
Statistics: Posted by bergere — Tue Mar 11, 2008 1:07 pm

I don't know what you mean by the Bioloid being on but the CM-5 is certainly on when the battery is charging. The servos doesn't have to be powered when you are charging. The batteries are being charged more then just applying a voltage into a rectifier, the MCU is actually monitoring the battery voltage like a "peak" charger so it has to be powered in order to do so. Many things are still powered when charging, it just seems to be transparent.

Read the quick start manual, it talks about batteries charging and conditions in there. Once you plug in your ac/dc adapter into the CM-5, you press the "U" button, then you wait for the power led to blink slow, when fully charged, it should blink once every two seconds.
Statistics: Posted by tom_chang79 — Sat Feb 23, 2008 10:46 pm
