It's certainly much easier to edit motion files from the robot terminal then the motion editor.
Statistics: Posted by Bullit — Tue Mar 04, 2008 3:59 am

You're able to print out the behavior control program, but no motion files. I've been trying to figure a way to edit the motion file via a text editor or something, but to no avail. It would be nice if someone could make a utility to format out the motion files so that you can circumvent the GUI-based editor, which really slows down the editing...
Statistics: Posted by tom_chang79 — Tue Mar 04, 2008 3:33 am

Once you written a motion file into your CM-5 through the BCP, your motion file will be read in to the Motion Editor when you open that program with your CM-5 still connected to it. "Flip" the pages by entering numbers into the "page no" field on one of the rows in the box to the right.

I've printed the BCP program of the default humanoid (you should get that utility from the knowledgebase section) so what page a specific action is, are more readily seeing.

If you don't have a printer, like me, I do a "print to CutePDF", which takes your print jobs and converts it to PDFs. 1)To load a motion sequence from a CM5 to a MTN file:

Open the BCP application.
Click on "Management", then select "Robot Motion", then once connected click on "Read from Robot".

2)To load a motion sequence from a MTN file to CM5:
Open the BCP application.
Click on "Management", then select "Robot Motion", then once connected click on "Write to Robot".

3)The Motion Editor will enable you to edit what ever is loaded in the CM5 memoy. Hi at all ( sorry just here for my bad english ),

Now I have the Bioloid for 3 month and programmed a lot, but also with my humanoid I programmed just my own motion files.
But I never had a very complex program, just something like avoiding obstacles and sit down, when somebody is clapping.
And yesterday I had the idea to make a very complex program with a lot of different functions like push ups, headstand, cartwheel, different dance moves, ......etc. all in one programm, which is installed at the Bioloid at one time.
For this I want to use some parts and motions of the Example programm.
Now I have the problem, that I don't know how much motions are used for the example program, because you can't see it in the Behavior Control programmer, you just see which motion page is used, but I would think that isn't all of the pages ( you can see in BCP 96, but there are very big whole between the numbers of the pages...)

So does anyone knows a possibility to take the example motion file of the demo and look, how many motion files are in it and what numbers they have?
I don't want to overwrite them with my own motions.
Would be nice, if somebody could help me.

PS: Limor, I am so happy, that I bought the Bioloid, it was exactly what I needed to learn more about robotics, so thanks for your advice.
And my school is thinking, if they should by a Bioloid Expert Kit for our Natural Scientific lessons.
Statistics: Posted by Mammut — Sat Mar 01, 2008 2:39 pm
