I replace the problem CM-5 with other, it works well, which means all the motors are well and NO such problem like having the same ID.
And I charged the problem CM-5 with DC adapter and without connecting to any Dynamixels up to 5 hours, but the MODE button now also cannot function.....

I tried many ways to fixed the problem.
I used CM-5 with power unit.
I updated the firmware again.
I used another connection line for CM-5 and computer.
I connected CM-5 with USB Series Port and also RS232 port directly.
I download the motion file and behavior control program again.
...
but the MODE button is still cannot function.....

Have you tried the obvious and charged the battery (or run the CM5 with the power unit)?

The CM5 gives all sorts of 'funny' errors as the battery voltage drops.

I meet a very weird problems with my CM-5.

First, the MODE button (red one) on one of my CM-5 doesnt fucntion well. I means when I press it, CM-5 doesnt do any response.

At that time, I think that was hardware problem, so I replace the CM-5 with another. After some days I use it on my BIOLOID robot, its fine, but today,
when I want to double check the motion of my robot, the CM-5 shows out a error 8100, then when I restart the CM-5, the MODE button cannot function again, just like the previous one.

What is the reason of this weird and serious problem?????????
