whats the verdict on these brackets and body casing? are they a homemade mod and if so where did the video come from ? the parts look very professional but i guess there are many seriuous roboteers who have invested in home machine shops that can accomplish staggering results! (like rookspawn etc). very impressive , deeply envious of the skills possessed by the guys involved not to mention the funding!

That is the most amazing Bioloid gait I've ever seen... I really love the metal brackets and the metal body, it really gave it the robotic look and feel...

Very, very good. I have tried something similar with the Bioloid but found that the hip and ankle brackets used in the Comprehensive Kit have a surprisingly limited range of motion. This limited range of motion is due to the design of the large C brakets - they are simply not large enough.

In the video above it looks like they have redesigned the ankle and Hip brakets with properly proportioned C brackets (made in metal). Consequently they are able to do such wonderful moves with the extra range of movement in the hips.

Great stuff.

Looks rather good. I wonder how the hip servo is coping with the strain? I understood that was the reason that Robotis stopped putting them in the standard kit.

I also like the way the modified hand is made to look like an axe but it's to allow it to balance on one hand without worrying about IMUs etc.

Wow. Hard to believe that's a Bioloid. Amazing. Very interested in learning what mods were done to it...beyond the obvious of course.
