You can set the torque enable control table entry to 0 to set it to freewheel. I notice once I turn the Bioloid on and send commands to an AX-12 via the CM5 the AX-12 the move command was sent to stiffens to the point of being un-moveable by hand. I assume this has to do with the torque setting.
