I initially also had alot of problems with getting the Bioloid to walk. I tried tweaking the offsets for many hours - but to no avail.

Eventually I found the problem was that the foot plates were in the wrong position. The older Bioloid manuals (which came with the Kit) had the foot plate in a different position to that shown in the newer manuals (download from the Robotis site).

So once you have downloaded the latest manual check the position of the footplates on your Bioloid first.

Also - the hip and ankle brackets (the wide C bracket ones) are asymetrical - so make sure that you have put them the right way round.
Statistics: Posted by BillB — Mon May 19, 2008 9:36 am

Ah yes, the walking problem.

If you work your way through the motion editor does it actually adopt each pose correctly?

Also have you uploaded the firmware *and* the motion files to the robot?
Statistics: Posted by StuartL — Sun May 18, 2008 3:41 pm

I'm uploading this to my webserver, all the relevant PDFs I can find.

I'll PM you when it's done.

Do bear in mind that Robotis' web site isn't bad, providing you can find the 'English' language option quickly
Statistics: Posted by StuartL — Sun May 18, 2008 3:40 pm
