Phil: Joerg might still have my phone number kicking around. If so give me a shout. If not drop me an email at my first name at braincell dot cx and we'll figure it out.
Statistics: Posted by StuartL — Tue Sep 09, 2008 4:42 pm

Did you run a search by typing command "SEARCH" on Robot Terminal by connecting each of the non-responsive AX-12 individually?
Statistics: Posted by bootstrap — Mon Sep 08, 2008 5:00 pm

I do not know if you recall, but one of our students managed to kill 32 AX12+ servos during a programming test when at the Euroby 2008 competition.

We now have had a chance to try and recover them.

We have been able to reset and re-baud and re-ID 12 of them.

But that has left 20 that do not respond. We have taken them apart and found that we can see a clk signal on 19 of them, and that most of these appear to fixed in a RX-mode where the enable on the RX-tristate buffer is set high. But we cannot get any of these to respond to a CM-5 baud or ID scan.

Can you recommend a solution please?

I wonder if we will be able to use the JTAG pads on the PCB to go and take control of the processor??

Can anyone advise please.

Phil Culverhouse
Statistics: Posted by pculverhouse — Tue Jul 29, 2008 2:57 pm
