Done that, didn't help.

But i figured it out after all. I had to open the rotating part of the ax-12, because the screw nuts from the other side were falling out. After I put the part back on I wasn't carefull to align it as it was. Because this was done several weeks ago I didn't remember it right away.

Sorry to trouble you with this.
Statistics: Posted by firestarter — Fri Nov 07, 2008 1:42 pm

Try sending a 'reset' packet to the servo, we've found that some weird stuff happens if the eeprom gets corrupted.

Do note, of course, that resetting the servo sets it back to ID 1 so you'll need to readdress it afterwards.
Statistics: Posted by StuartL — Fri Nov 07, 2008 1:04 pm

I've made some progress. I read about the calibration bytes in the control table of the ax-12.

20(0X14) Down Calibration(L) RD ?
21(0X15) Down Calibration(H) RD ?
22(0X16) Up Calibration(L) RD ?
23(0X17) Up Calibration(H) RD ?

Robot Terminal shows that theese bytes are not read only, but that i can write them if i would like. The question now is how do I recalibrate an ax-12?
Statistics: Posted by firestarter — Fri Nov 07, 2008 1:02 pm

I have a problem with the AX-12 servo's. At first they worked just fine. Then i rebuilt the humanoid, because some of the wires were damaged. I also built in an IMU. When I powered the robot up again and tried to put him in it's initial position some of the AX-12's were off range. I connected each one at the cm-5 and drove it to 512 (150 degrees), but the lines on the servo didn't align. It's like each one has got a different offset. I also checked the control table and made sure taht the CW and CCW angle limits are set to the factory defaults. Has anyone had this problem before??
Statistics: Posted by firestarter — Fri Nov 07, 2008 11:36 am
