some notes on the other robots

RB1000: there's a thread around here. While capable of spectacular moves is less capable of simpler ones because of the construction

RN1: Full aluminium "skeleton" that makes it VERY sturdy. Also looks very cool

A few important notes.
This is particularly important for colors other than black.

It's very important that all plastic parts are boiled/dyed exactly
the same amount of time!! (use a timer)
Even 1 minute too long or short will result in uneven colors.
Best is to boil all parts together and remember to keep stirring.
(beware of stains because dye is hard to remove)

IMHO the clearer the parts of a robot are the better to appreciate the motions and architecture of the piece.

If the brackets are made of plastic you can boil them in water
using clothing dye.
You can get dye in every possible color.
Dye will not come off again like paint does.
It will penetrate deep into the plastic.
The longer you boil them the deeper the color will be.
Using white brackets it will take only 10minutes of boiling with dye to
become deep black.
I do this all the time with my rc-car rims which are also white plastic.
The rims hold their color even with the rigorous beating in competitions.

I chose the Bioloid because it has more servos and the servos have more torque and the sensor ... and the various construction possibilities

I asked robotis for black brackets, but they they told me, that they only produce the white ones at present ... so you might have to paint them if you can't live with the white ones

il est moins cher déjà mais a part le nova je trouve qu'il est beaucoup plus stable que les autre, je viens de découvrir aussi le rb1000 qui semble très stable aussi !

aurais tu des vidéos ou photo de ton bioloide ?

exist-il en noir, ou faut-il le peindre ?

c'est ce robot qui m'attire le plus en fait !

le probléme c'est le prix, je pourrais me l'offrir, mais bon si je suis déçu çà fait un peu cher !
