Bioloid CD upgrade available here (200mb!!)
Firmware upgrade for the AX12 servo also available: instructions, software

A new version of the AX12 called AX12+ is going to replace the AX12 servos in new Bioloid kits. We don't know what has triggered this modification.

The new Bioloid Comrehensive kits will have 18 AX12+ servos instead of 19. The humanoid build instructions will reflect this change. Here's a one-pager about the new kit and also about the Basic-Bioloid kit (which we haven't stocked so far).

Our next shipment (due beginning of August) will have a mix of the new Bioloid-Comprehensive kits (with 18xAX12+ servos) and a limited number of the last remaining Bioloid-Comprehensive kits containing 19xAX12 servos.
Let us know which one you want when placing the order (price remains the same).

As you have seen on the Robotis site, they also have an upcoming ZigBee module (Zig100) and expensive high-torque servos. The latest addition is the RX-64. This is one monster of a servo with a Holding Torque of 64kg-cm and has been used by some Robocup humanoids.

Please post a message or send an email if you are interested in the high-power servos, the CM-2 controller board or the Bioloid-Basic kit. The Bioloid-Basic kit would be priced around US$370/GB£200/EU€290.
Statistics: Posted by robosavvy — Mon Jul 03, 2006 5:12 pm
