UPDATE:
Last week, a ROBOTIS representative has answered my question in their Q&A section and has subsequently provided me with a functional 64-bit windows driver.

Despite the temporary frustration, I'm glad it took some time so that I could learn about the existence of Intel's OpenCV.
Statistics: Posted by MoToR — Fri Mar 26, 2010 6:10 pm

It's been four months and I did not find any solution, except running the software under 32-bit guest OS on a 64-bit host (VMWare). This solution is rubbish, the USB redirection between the host and the guest OS is jerky and slow, allowing unsteady 5 FPS at most.

There is a 64-bit driver for the eMPIA 2820 USB Camera, which Bioloid camera is, but it doesn't work with the vision.lib provided by ROBOTIS. The vision_open() function causes BSOD, but amcap.exe, provided by ROBOTIS along with the examples, works fine with the 64-bit driver.

I couldn't get any reply from ROBOTIS regarding the camera drivers, so I started to look on the problem from the other end - I'm looking for the source code for the .lib files provided by ROBOTIS. They themselves weren't helpful so far, so I ask here - does any one, by any chance have the code of any of those libraries?

Thanks.
Statistics: Posted by MoToR — Sat Mar 13, 2010 3:04 pm

Hi,

Has anyone managed to find 64-bit Windows drivers for the wireless camera receiver for Bioloid?

The receiver seems to be a generic 2820 video device, but I failed to find something that will make it work properly under 64-bit OS.

Thanks.
Statistics: Posted by MoToR — Sun Nov 22, 2009 6:25 pm
