I don't think the J5 is a programming connector because here are the connections to the Mega128:

J5pin Mega128pin Function
1 11 (SCK)PB1
2 2 RXD0/(PD1)PE0
3 3 (TXD0/PD0)PE1
4 20 RESET
5 GND GND

I would expect connections to SCK, RESET, MOSI and MISO for SPI serial programming and to TCK,TMS,TD0 and TDI for JTAG programming. These connections aren't all brought out on the J5 connector. SCK and RESET are but they are no use on their own.

So I am not sure at this point what J5 is for.

Mark
Statistics: Posted by pepperm — Sat Aug 19, 2006 8:42 pm
