Thank you for your reply. I guess I can do that. I will figure out is there any other robot which supports high level programming and check for options.
Statistics: Posted by prathik23 — Wed Jan 27, 2010 5:38 am

From my limted knowledge bioloid uses a very simple basic type language. It is tedious to program it because you must select the basic functions eg if, call, for etc you cannot type freely.

I don't know what you mean by coordinate. You mean 3d xyz coordinate? Bioloid comes with several distant sensors ie one dimensional. I guess you can mount one on it's head on a servo then use it like a radar. Then execute a motion bases on if sensor sees something etc. Hope I answer your question. Hello Uncle bob,

I have a program, which detects head and gives the co-ordinates of the location of the head. I want the robot to make the moves when it gets a specific co-ordinates, can I do that for the Bioloid? That is my question, I am searching for a robot which can get commands from that program, I guess robophilo can do that but it is too weak and basic one. Do you have any idea? Thank you...
Statistics: Posted by prathik23 — Wed Jan 27, 2010 2:40 am

I think robobuilder use c++. Bioloid not yet. Hello All,

I am planning to buy a Bioloid Kit premium. But I have some basic questions. Sorry if my questions seems silly I have no clue how it works.

1. Does it work on mac platform? In the forum I saw some one using MAC.
2. Can I program it in C/C++ using visual studio (I am not very good at winavr platform) if not visual studio what all platforms it support?
3. If I can program in C/C++, do I need to do it from the scratch or do it have a SDK (Software Development Kit) that I can work on?

Thank you in advacne...
Statistics: Posted by prathik23 — Tue Jan 26, 2010 8:31 pm
