<title type="html"><![CDATA[Reset Firmware in CM-510]]></title>

Some of you may know of the issues I have been having with the CM-510 unit I received with my Premium kit. Well I have received the solution and so I wanted to share it with others. I have this information with screen captures which can be found at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.robotusersaustralia.com/">http://www.robotusersaustralia.com/</a><!-- m --> click on Bioloid in the menu and the &quot;CM-510 Firmware Reset&quot;.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">Restoring the Controller's Firmware<br />1. Begin 'Controller Firmware Wizard' program .</span><br />When the controller's firmware is not detected, you may restore your controller's firmware. Press the icon like the figure below to begin restoring.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">2. Select the communication port to be connected to the controller </span><br />You must find the controller connected. Since the firmware can not be detected, it can not be automatically found. Thus, the user must manually install the port which the controller is connected. If the port to which the controller is connected is being used by another program, it will not be detected. Please end the program, select the port and search.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">3. Turn off and on the controller </span><br />To find the controller, please turn it off and on again.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">4. Check fontroller information </span><br />You can check the controller and firmware to download. Please check if the model you chose is the right controller connected. (The 'Boot Loader' information is the current version of controller information, not the firmware information.)<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">5. Firmware Restoration </span><br />If you press the &lt;Next&gt; button, it will begin restoring the firmware. Be careful not to turn the power off or disconnect the cable until the download has completed.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">6.
