today i tried to finish my first soft for my premium.
i will tell you about it later.
but testing it, i didn't saw some wires were damage at the foot level because of an error in my code.

result :
4 dynamixel out of order :

the first had just its ID changed.
the second and third were founded as unknown with roboplus manager.
the 4th was unreachable...and red led was always on.

my new brand premium i got for my 39 birthday!!!
i was really disappointed...

so i started to try to fix them, and it works using dynamixel wizard.
i took a standard dynamixel cable and removed the data wire.
i plugged it into cm510 port with smps connected (turned off).
i used another cable with its 3 wires (vcc is not connected on usb2dynamixel)
i plugged usb2dynamixel in ttl mode with this cable to one of the actuator.
i plugged the other cable (without data wire from cm510) in the second actuator port (for vcc and ground).
i ran dynamixel wizard and follow the dynamixel firmware recovery procedure.
I managed to recovery every actuator even the one which was not detected and led always on.
i hope it will be OK for a long time now.

my first steps with robotics are not as easy as i thought...
but my first piece of code give me the results i expected.
COOL.

see you..
Statistics: Posted by FabinovX — Thu Feb 04, 2010 2:38 am
