CM5 Power problem

I have downloaded the cm5 circuit ages ago and I dont remember where did I save it.

Does anyone can show me the link to the circuit of CM5 board?

check the output of the regulators?

There is a 5V (7805) and 3.3V regulator on the board. (pretty sure bout this) You might check the output of these to see if they are giving the correct output. There is a switch on the power supply connector(internally) that is tied to one of the pins on the atmega(this is all from memory) so you might check to see if that is switching properly. (mechanically)

These are just guesses. There is a schematic of the CM5 board up on this site that will show the location.

We have also had trouble with the red switches that robotis used on the CM5 (big improvement on the 510) and have had to replace several of them.

Hi Mason,

Thanks for the feedback.
The `connection of the power socket is fine, since the battery gets heat when it is charged, but once I unplug the smps supply,the battery doesnt supply the cm5 board. I have traced the circuit and the negative voltage from the battery connected to the power mosfet LR024.
Any idea please?

The two pin battery connector on the CM5 will occasionally fail. We have one that won't run on battery power when it is in the Bioloid, but works fine as a bare board. Try it out of the case and then try heating up the solder joints on the back of the two pin connector.

CM5 Power problem

Hi All,

I just got back working on my bioloid, but once I turn on the switch of my CM5, it doesn't work.
I have charged till the led blinks really slow (full), but once i unplug the SMPS (power supply), and switch on the cm5, the led doesnt turn on. I have measured the fuse, but it is normal.

Does anyone ever have the same problem? or any link to previous thread addressed the same thing would be great?
