10.7 is probably a little low. What's the charge after you let it sit for a bit after running? Should be at 3.7 per cell for longevity. Also. It only takes a single over-[dis]charge to screw up a pack.

One of the nice things about this size of robots is that they really don't stress lipos when it comes to current draw, so as long as you don't over discharge or charge when they are hot/cold they should have a long life.

Personally I don't buy nice lipos anymore. A nice lipo can just randomly go bad/puff too, but it sure pisses you off more when it does! I go with whatever is cheap and getting good reviews at the time. I'd guess you can probably get a reasonable 900mah low C pack for $10 these days.
Statistics: Posted by billyzelsnack — Tue May 04, 2010 8:07 pm

Thanks all. Something else. Do AX-12s change peformance in hot wheather? As recently in my country the whether turned hotter and the moves that use to be played perfectly are not working properly - sometimes times the robot falls backwards.
Statistics: Posted by JavaRN — Tue May 04, 2010 5:41 pm

JavaRN wrote:
To billyzelsnack

I recharge my lipos when the monitor starts to beep, roughly at 10.7V.

Also depends on what type of LiPos you're using. Not all LiPos are created equal, most of my Tenergy brand batteries have 'died' within 6-9 months of light use, while my Thunder Power batteries keep on tickin'.
Statistics: Posted by Tyberius — Tue May 04, 2010 4:52 pm

I use lipos for my bioloid comprehensive kit - 900MaH 11.1v I've noiced that after two months usage, the battery life declined abrubtly. Up till two weeks ago they used to give me 20 - 30 mins (at first they used to give me 45 mins), but all of a sudden they are lasting only 10 mins or so. Is it normal that lipos last only 2 to 3 months. (I use them four or five times a week).
Statistics: Posted by JavaRN — Tue May 04, 2010 1:17 pm
