I sent you via email my tsk and motion file which I use for the fights.

It features gyro balancing, setting different mode on the control and walking and turning.

Another opensource project that recently advertised itself as opensource is Gostai / Urbi - http://www.urbiforge.org/
It is a commercial quality system and there's support for Bioloid

Yep, with a little hacking, you should be able to make it play motion files (which are stored in memory). Right now it does that, but the algorithm isn't too good and it doesn't play whole pages properly. Does your kit have a CM-5 or a CM-510?

What's your background - are you good at programming in C? To check out the code you need to know how to use svn (what OS are you running?) - the command to do so is:

svn checkout http://bioloid.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/firmware/motion

If you join the mailing list here http://groups.google.com/group/bioloid-discuss (click on the "Apply for group membership" button) then you can post any problems with building and running the code and I'll help you. This forum is probably not the best place for technical issues with code hosted on google code.

Hi Froody and co,

I've been working during weeks in the environment of the Bioloid Expert Kit and what I am trying to do now is to be able to program my humanoid robot with the motion movements that he has predefined with C code. i.e. Just tell him that makes the forwardwalk by saying him that he has it saved in the memory at page 60. If I am wright, I think it is that Froody, with the help of joerg's code has done, correct me if not.
I don't want it as a new software, i just want to program it with your libraries, if it's possible.

With your code would it be possible? I have gone to your google page but I can't download your code, I don't find the option.

pikaj00: I've added you to the commit list, you should be good to go. What error did you get when sending email? You have to join the list in order to post. Alternatively you could have just emailed me directly.

kgthegreat: does github also do wikis, downloads, etc? I might consider it later but right now I'm the only one committing stuff so it's not much of an issue

Hey froody,

I have a feeling that this might be a beginning of a real nice open source project. Have you checked out github.com for hosting the code. I use it and and love it. Great integration with git(http://git-scm.com/). Integrates with svn also pretty well. It is a huge improvement over anything that is around.

Just a suggestion.

I just spent a few minutes reading how to check out. Looks hard at first but seems ok afterward.

No files there at the moment.

Maybe I just send you my file so we can quickly put something up. I originally wanted to carefully select my code but I now give you something that I have.

So the project is up but it's only accumulating code at the rate which I can write it (which with a full-time job isn't that fast). If you have something to submit, please send me your google account email address and I'll give you commit access. If you want to share your code but don't want to go through the hassle of joining & using svn, just email me a zip file and I'll do all the work.

Ah my bad, seems I though there would be a button saying "Request to join group". Send me your google account email (not necessarily a gmail account), if you don't have one, get one here: https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount

Post to bioloid-discuss linked on the google code page(preferred), reply here or email me directly with your google account email and I'll add you to the project. From there you'll have commit access and the ability to upload files.

BTW can we state the robot type e.g. Type A, B, Snake etc and robomotion version etc. CM510 or older version. Since type different robot type can kill a few servos if not careful.
