Hi Mat,

There are at least two threads on this forum that deal with embedded C programming on the Bioloid.

The libavr/libioloid project

http://robosavvy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3215

and the Open Source project

http://robosavvy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6138

I suggest that you take a look at these threads to get an idea what is already out there.
Statistics: Posted by Fritzoid — Tue Jun 01, 2010 12:43 pm

Hi!

A very great forum you have here!
I'm a bloody beginner in every kind of robotics. I started with that hobby only a view month ago, when I bought me the Bioloid Premium Kit. But now, I can't get enough of it! Actual I study Mechatronics. I have never programmed in C, but had 2 semesters in Java. To learn the C language, I like to program the robot in C. But now my question: I read, that with the embedded C, you will have to write all the communication protocols ,... from the ground up new. Now I'm a little bit scared to set up the controller with embedded C, because I have no idea, how this protocols and so on works. And could the motion files also be used in embedded C?
Does anybody of you have a whole example code written in C, with that the robot is able to walk? Similar to the default task program? Or better a little tutorial?

Thanks
Mat
Statistics: Posted by Buell24 — Sat May 29, 2010 9:21 am
