I guess it depends on how far you want to go to investigate yourself.

If the servo has been sounding different and hot from the start, I would just get it replaced.

I did have one servo where a small piece of plastic swarf was stuck in one gear.
Statistics: Posted by i-Bot — Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:31 pm

Hi guys,

I assembled the Bioloid premium type A about a month ago.

Finally I had some time to start experimenting with my robot...

Everything is working great, except, one servo (ID 1) the left shoulder if you look at the robot from the front, is showing temperatures of 63-69 on roboplus manager.

The servo is functioning quite good, he moves with the same speed as the others but I think I hear a slightly different sound coming from him.

Is there something I can do to make the temperatures drop ? the parallel servo on the other shoulder at exactly the same position barely breaks a sweat =)

I looked and searched and I can't find any diffrence between my left and right shoulder so I think the servo is well positioned.

If someone has any idea on what I might do in order to fix the heating problem I would be most grateful ! =)

Thanks
Oran.
Statistics: Posted by bluecat — Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:04 pm
