Problem solved!

I was using the old version of usb2dynamixel software, the newer version, the one in Roboplus is far better, just launch Roboplus -> Dynamixel Wizard -> Firmware Refresh, and the problem is solved!!!

Just a small note, you have to re-adjust the servo id, because after the refresh, the ID is set to 1.
Statistics: Posted by JavaRN — Sun Aug 29, 2010 3:19 pm

I was working with my bioloid, and a wire got loose, everything was reset and to my surprise, all the ax-12s from that point onwards ended up with no ID, they switch up normally but they are not recognized by either dynamixel manager nor the CM-5. I tried to reload the *.rom file for ax-12 again through the cm-5. Even though I got "ax-12 updated" message still no improvement. Any idea what can I do, hope they are not all lost as they mount up to 4 servos!!!

Thanks
Statistics: Posted by JavaRN — Sun Aug 29, 2010 10:31 am
