JUst a thought but I had a fuse blow and I think it still ran off the power supply okay. I may be mistaken but I have a feeling the fuse in the Cm-5 is between the battery and board not the PSU and board.

As I say I may be completely wrong but it may be worth checking before you send it back.

I guess then it could be the battery pack, any of the packs connectors or the charge circuit. Check for an output voltage on the battery pack before you send everything back. It could just be the battery pack and connection cable/connector.

I have tried everything and nothing works. The robot works fine when plugged into the mains but will not charge. I doesn't matter what mode or when I press the U button.

Thanks for the help, it is very much appreciated.

Looks like something needs to be returned.

To charge the batteries you need to do the following:

1 - Connect the charger to the CM-5 (the CM-5 being powered off beforehand).
2 - Power on the CM-5 with the power switch.
3 - Press the "U" button.

The Power light will then start to flash, it doesn't matter what state the manage/program/play lights are in either

Is this what you are doing? If not then I suspect a problem with the charger or battery pack so check them for voltage. You will usually get some sort of voltage out of the battery pack even when discharged, be it very low and you should get over 12V from the charger when not under load.

Try the above and get back with your findings.

That was the first thing I tried. If you press the U button nothing happens. I have checked the cable that connects the batteries and thet is ok. The batteries are dead.

To put the CM-5 into charging mode simply plug in the mains adapter, turn on the power on the CM-5 and press the U button on the back of the CM-5. The power light will start to flash and increase in frequency as it charges. When charging is complete the power light will drop back to flashing once every 2 seconds.

When the electric power is plugged into the CM5 it doesnt mean that the battery is being charged. Make sure you set the CM5 to charging mode. (see manual)

It's working. Thanks for the help.
As you said, it was the wrong file. I didn't see the mtn files as they were hidden.
Now I have found a new problem. The battery isn't charging. Great!

It sounds like it's accessing the wrong motion files. Have you loaded the correct mtn file?

I have now partially stripped down the humaniod and checked all the servos and wiring are in the correct places and that all the servos are ligned up correctly and I have still got the same problem. I know the cm5 is ok as I built the droid first and everything functioned ok.
I am now starting to pull my hair out! I thought the construction would be the easy bit.

I have assembled my Bioloid humanoid for the first time. When I ran the check assembly the message on the screen matched the one in the manual. Then I loaded the humaniod demo and started the robot and the legs and arms just contorts for a second and then a bleep sounds then it stops.
I have checked the wiring and servos three times and they all seem to be in the correct places.
Has anybody got any ideas, if not I think I will have to strip it down and start again.
