I somehow made Dual Mode(Back to Back) of Ax12+ to get more power to make my Type A to stand on one feet.

Can anyone tell me how much powerful it is now ?I think its now like Ax18A

My photo is in C drive Can you also tell me How to paste photo here. is not working for me.

Hi Muhit

Our robot is Bioloid Premium type A, and we have 20 servos too.
In editing motions like walking that the robot should stay in an unstable state (like standing on one foot), its natural to one servo temporarily fail because of heating and passing temperature limit.

Its better to have somebody to help you, and holds up the robot when its idle (!) , but the better way is use of some bends to hang the robot in a suitable height, that you be able to edit your motion, and there will be no pressure on servos. Usually two bends are used to hang the robot, connected to robot`s arms.

You should know that designing a complex motion like walking is a little difficult, and only right positions for servos in every step is not enough. Another important parameters are effecting the motion, like every step`s Play Time and Pause Time (if needed).
A right servo position, with wrong play or pause time will fail.
Then its better to you have a final mechanical design, and have some help of the robots default walk motion, and use it as a template, and change it as you want; it really helps.

ALL Robotis Motion files for the Comprehensive Kit can be found on the link I wrote in my previous post.

As for the Soccer motion files, as far as I know, the Soccer and Fighting programs are only available for the PREMIUM kit.

If you read my post, I explained how to find the files for the Comprehensive as well:

For the MTN files go to http://support.robotis.com and choose "Product Information", "Bioloid", then your kit (Comprehensive or PREMIUM), "Download" and then "Default Program".

So if you have a Comprehensive, following the Steps above, you will go to this page http://support.robotis.com/en/product/b ... ce_app.htm

Hi Gary,
If you see Bioloid Premium or Bioloid Gp, they don't walk actually. They just slide/crawl on floor like a small toy robot.
I want to make a robot which walk like we humans.

I want to make walkin motion myself same as we human walk. We put our full weight on one leg and forward the other leg and then move ahead. So i am looking to start with one leg balance.

For joint softness take a look in RoboPlus Motion, you can specify a value between 1 (no softness, not recommended) and 7 (very soft), 5 is the usual default. You can change the values for each servo in each action. Joint softness adjusts the compliance (how hard the servo tries to keep at the goal position). Here's the page from the manual:

Regarding how much weight can be on one leg... well it all depends (see my above post). I'd (probably) accept a bet that I could get my 20 servo BIOLOID to stand on one leg until the low battery warning sounds, but I'd have to keep the leg strait and smoothly keep all the weight centred above the leg, no wiggling, fidgeting, and on a nice hard flat surface.

I'm curious as to why you want your BIOLOID to stand on one leg for more than 30 seconds?

It depends on which humanoid type you built (Type-A is the heaviest as it uses all 18 of the servos), and the angle of the joints involved when they are holding weight. I'm assuming your knee joint is overloading after 30sec? Can you make that joint any straighter? You might also want to see if you can use a higher softness value for the overloading joint, so the servo doesn't fight so hard to keep an exact position (again, depends on the angle you are trying to hold the joint at).

If it makes you feel any better, I added two extra servos for a head pan and tilt setup onto a modified Type-A http://flic.kr/p/9xhefE. The weight of a humanoid with 20 AX-12s is still nice and mobile, but much closer to leg joint servo overloading if you're not smooth and flowing with your motions (or if you loiter too long in an awkward pose).

I managed to stand my premium kit Bioloid on one leg.
Can any one tell me how much weight it apply on one foot ? I think its more than 15kg because the Ax12+ led start blinking af ter 30 sec due to over load.
