The Bioloid Community has a new Wiki Site !!!

That's probably a good idea.

A wiki is a site where anyone can add content to, by simply registering and then editing pages. Obviously, we want the content to stay on topic, so please stick to adding Bioloid related content.

You can read about wikis here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki

You can add links to other websites, write articles, tutorials, projects, and even have your own Bioloid-related blog. You can also upload pictures, documentation, movies, and any other kind of Bioloid-related file.

Its basically a central place for the Bioloid community to keep information, so other people looking can see what other people are doing and have done.

Its not just a site for me to put up information - its for everyone to use and add to. Everyone in the community can take part in making it better.

I was thinking you should let everyone know what a wiki is about and how it can be used. I basically know what a wiki is, but I have never participated in one. This might be helpful for others who are unfamiliar with the technology and get more people involved. Just a thought.

Okay, I've installed the Wiki, and set up a few example pages. Please feel free to register, and start adding new pages and contents. If there's a feature you think we should have that isn't currently enabled, please let me know...

Very cool Jon!

Thanks for taking the initiative and putting in the time. This will be a very valuable tool I think. It will make it much easier for new 'Bioloiders' to get up and running more quickly and advancing their skills. It should help with getting more people interested in our hobby. I look forward to everyones contributions!

Well, its done, and the initial page of the web site is up. Note that (of course) this is just a placeholder - now I need to install some Wiki software (like TikiWiki), and get everything set up.

It may take a while to propagate the DNS, but I can access it by name from where I am right now...

But, we've got lots of space, and lots of bandwidth, and I look forward to seeing what the community does with this space.
