If I understood you correctly you (will) have this hardware elements and connections:

[CM-5] <Zig> [Server PC] <Wireless> [Roboard]

First of all, Robotis CM-510 (and above) support is far better than CM-5, so, if you can use a CM-510 it will be a lot easier.

I never do it with CM-5, but it's possible. With Robotis Zig2serial you can connect a a Zig-100 to the pc and send data to the CM-5 (with its own Zig-100 installed) creating specific commands (hexadecimal sequence) that RoboPlus Task can read.

Here You can find more information about connecting and and programming Bioloid..
Statistics: Posted by siempre.aprendiendo — Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:49 am

Hi all I'm doing a robotics project using the Bioloid Comprehensive Kit and i have a question concerning the Roboplus Task program.

In my current setup I have additional sensors (ultrasonic sonar and laser range finder) attached to the Bioloid robot which are attached to a Roboard-100. The Ro-board is running a Linux distro and transmits the data from these sensors to a server PC. The PC should then transmit the appropriate action to take using the Robotis Zigbee-100 module to the CM-5 control board on the robot for it to take. Essentially I wanted to know if I can use Roboplus Task (or tell it) to send the appropriate action based on the data from these sensors.

If I can't do this using Roboplus task is there another way to do this?
Statistics: Posted by dnhan — Tue Jan 08, 2013 4:38 am
