On further inspection of the site it seems that the BTE061 has a non standard 9pin DType connector (non standard with respect to the RS232 standards that is) in that it has a suitable bidirectional TTL connection on pin 1. This and the GND on pin 5 would connect to the AX series Dynamixels.

Looking at the site I think that they sell a USB to RS232 interface (BTE61E) and they also sell the BTE63 which looks like a method of connecting the RS232 interface to the Dynamixels. It seems that with the 2 you will be going from USB to RS232 (+/-12V) then from RS232 to the half duplex TTL of the Dynamixels. My interface on this site misses out the RS232 voltage level stages, but you have to make it yourself. You could probably use the BTE63 on its own if your PC has a serial interface.

The BTE64/66/67 seem to be processor boards (that don't use the Mega128 by the looks of things) and a USB programming interface (using JTAG).

however is I have another question about this same site which the function of the BTE064 and BTE066 and BTE067?

The one I have published won't be for sale as it's a DIY project however, there may well be a Robotis version that Limor may be able to get hold of. The one on the Robotis web site looks like a serial to Dynamixel interface to me so I am not even sure that they actually produce one yet.

You are right. The USB to Dynamixel interface should allow you to talk to the Dynamixel servos from a PC and yes you should be able to write code in C or any language on the PC to control the servos. However, the Bioloid program set does not support this link, it only supports communications to the CM5 for uploading programs and movement tables.

As I am initial in robotics, could does you say to me to what serve USB2Dynamixel, allows it to order the bioloid directly starting from the PC without passing by the CM5?

If that is true, will it be possible to use the behavior or is necessary it to program out of C?
