Hi Mark

...I would like to venture into the world of voice activated controll. Any ideas?

I would use a VR Stamp from Sensory,
The VR stamp module is a reasonable price from Total robots ( now owned by Active robots)
http://www.totalrobots.com/speech-sound-speech-rec-c-24_25.html

However I think the development kit is an unreasonable price. Don't these companies where there biggest markets are?
Mikro Elektronika make the easy vr stamp kit a a good price but due to some software issue they currently have put sales on hold:

http://www.mikroe.com/en/tools/easyvrstamp/
Statistics: Posted by NovaOne — Sat May 31, 2008 9:39 am

What exactly are you using to control your robot? You can get boards that will allow you to use a limited amount of voice commands, say around 25. Or you could use a program running on a computer. That would be way more flexible but, on the other hand you have a size problem to deal with.
http://www.imagesco.com/articles/hm2007/SpeechRecognitionTutorial01.html
This has something about the first option. Never worked with it myself but I think that it is pretty good. Good luck with your project.
Statistics: Posted by sthmck — Mon Apr 14, 2008 3:03 am

Hello Everyone.

I am currently in progress on my own homemade robot.
IN addition to automation control and RC control I would like to venture into the world of voice activated controll.
