Yes <span style="font-weight: bold">BrianG</span> those are spring loaded watch type telescopes (watch spring bar - it's the exact name) and <span style="font-weight: bold">billyzelsnack</span> I bought them from an usual Watch Repair Shop, very cheap found on eBay.<br /><br />I'll post some short movie clips with some very easy and handy techniques about how to cut , bend and polish those pieces and how to put them together. Keep it close! <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=1109">roboticage</a> — Thu Nov 19, 2009 6:44 pm</p><hr />

Hi, <img src="http://forum.robosavvy.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><br />I'm a robotic enthusiast like all the people in this forum.<br />Ever since I saw the &quot;Melissa hand&quot; type I tried to made<br />one every one could do it, without very special cutting tools<br />or hard to find parts.<br /><br />I will post some pictures that will speak from themselves and I'll<br />respond to any questions you'll put here on the forum about them.<br />Other pictures I can take on request or you can look at <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/roboticage/" class="postlink"><span style="font-weight: bold">my FLICKR<br />profile</span></a>.<br /><br />I only want to add that the materials used are:<br />- Aluminum board 0.66mm thick (with ~1.5mm diameter holes)<br />- Watch type telescopes (6mm wide)<br />- Plastic cable ties (~2.5mm wide)<br /><br />and some tools:<br /><br />- Hand grinder (engraver) ; nothing special only something to cut and polish the aluminum which is softer<br />- A pair of pliers to bend the aluminum board (very easy to bed BECAUSE OF THE tiny HOLES and ALUMINUM material softness)<br /><br />For the rest I let your curiosity to discover anything I maybe forgot to mention. Enjoy:<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">ALUMINUM BOARD</span><br /><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2666/4102662485_cf5b6185da_b.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">WATCH STYLE TELESCOPES</span><br /><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2574/4102664365_db50a4abd2_b.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">ONE PIECE DIFFERENT STAGES</span><br /><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2489/4102667087_23a391dc0d_b.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">ONE FINGER PARTS (LONG)</span><br /><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2434/4102669925_27487a3d84_b.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">RIGHT HAND down(ALMOST READY)</span><br /><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2739/4103441572_0af12518c1_b.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">RIGHT HAND up(ALMOST READY)</span><br /><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2552/4103443012_0a46ed1c04_b.jpg" alt="Image" /><p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="http://forum.robosavvy.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=1109">roboticage</a> — Wed Nov 18, 2009 8:18 pm</p><hr />
