The servo rating takes a two cell LiPo into account. So when it says, 6V, it is assumed that a 5 cell NiMH battery is being used. For the 7.4V rating, it's assumed that a two cell LiPo pack is used. Maybe you could use some BEC's if you're fine with 6V? How would I go about using a pack like that? If I ran it straight to the servos would the 8.4V max charge damage them? I know its possible to send extra voltage to servos and have them be fine but I also know its possible that they could be in a bad mood and die after 2 seconds of out of spec voltages. I wanna be very careful not to damage the $125 servos. Those servo can draw approximately, 2A each under normal conditions. Look for a LiPo pack.
