Q: KHR 3D model ?

V-Arch has kindly sent the rigged KHR-1 model.
this model can be used with simulators or to make a movie, picture or demo using 3d-Studio.

Yes, I can the only problem is the file names are all coming i as none adn I have no reference to what models are what. I will dig into a little later.

Models were created in Catia V5 and uploaded here as Step translations. You should be able to open the step files in Solid Works.

What Cad package for 3d Models

Hi guys those are great models. I was wondering what the cad package was that created them? And if it was Solidworks could I get a copy of the Solidworks files.

Hi,

i'm a Spanish computer science student who is doing a kondo 3D simulator (and maybe a 3D trainer) as its final career project (i wish the translation has some sense :S ).

I want to use the 3d model (the one in 3Ds format or the other in a CAD format), have i your permission to use it ?

If the answer is yes... would you give me your real names to write it in the right section ofmy paper?

I haven't had a lot of time to work on animating but I have gotten as far as to write a script that reads actual motion data and applies it to the model.

Here is a rough test using the KHR-1 Improved Forward Walk Data

Hi Brianz, hopefully v-arch or limor can post the iges data, if not I can try. And yes, please post your maya files that would be awesome. I have maya but I am a novice user so that would help me a lot. Also please post an animation, that's what I really want to see! If somebody lets me borrow their hitech robot I will model it too and somebody can animate a battle...

I have gotten around to exporting the model to 3ds. I have not had time to properly rig the model and even if I do it won't be useful except in 3DSMax afaik. I had positioned all the pivots correctly in Max but when I export to 3DS they get aligned to world space so the pivots on the leg parts will need to be realigned. I collapsed all the parts that move as one unit to ease in rigging if there is need for them as separate parts I could upload another 3ds.

That is really great. I would love to see him animated, I was really hoping somebody would do that. And yes, please upload the 3ds files. I know some other people on this forum would be very happy about that. If I can do anything else to aid in your animating just ask!
