Forum problems - Forced index page and no emails

I'm having two separate problems with the Robosavvy forums.

The first problem is that every time I follow a link to a forum index or forum topic post the forum redirects me back to the index page unless the forum is already open in the browser, in which case it works as you'd expect. It's exactly like a cookie problem but it's not a simple cookie problem as I never have a problem staying logged in and I use cookies for authentication all the time on other forums.

The second problem is that despite checking and double checking my email settings I still don't get email notifications of topic updates. I think I had one once (not when I first joined, more recently than that) but I haven't had any since.

Does anyone else have comparable problems? For reference I'm using Mozilla Firefox (patched to latest) to browse and I run my own mail server so I can check logs to verify that the forum never actually attempted to send anything to me from robosavvy.com.
