Hello, i think the i-sobot looks very cool but i have a question, is it programmable or does it only do the preprogammed actions or is too early to know, sorry if this has been asked before,thanks

It has a 'program mode' where you can build sequences from the 180+ canned actions.

Update: Also, you can program in any actions that you can do with the joysticks. For example, some of the program memory blocks can be used for user defined actions like "7 steps backward" or "point right arm" etc. These user defined actions can be intermixed with the pre-programmed actions.

It doesn't have some of the features of a Robonova or KHR-2HV, but it doesn't cost as much or require as much technical skill and know-how either. It will probably introduce a lot of people to humanoids who will then move up to one of the more complex kits for their second robot.

We just finished a detailed, hands-on review that will be in the Fall issue of Robot magazine that comes out at the end of the month.
