Moore's Law talks about how the number of transistors on a microchip will double every two years to achieve the minimum cost (or words to that effect). I would be interested to see if the same rule applies to Humanoid robots.
How much have prices changed since each robot was released? To keep a level playing field, each robot should be priced using the kit version (not fully assembled) and with standard equipment only (no grippers or gyros).
Can anyone tell me the release dates and original pricing for Kondo KHR-1, Robonova, Kondo KHR-2, Bioloid (comprehensive version) and Futaba RBT-1? I am most interested in US prices and US release dates, but it would be interesting to track other countries as well.
With the new I-Sobot coming out soon, I am interested to see if the pricing on existing Humanoids drops, or if the manufacturers will keep the pricing the same, but add features like gyros and sensors as standard.
